2024 - A New Year and New Priorities for the NLCRC

To the National Lubricant Container Recycling Coalition (NLCRC), the start of 2024 means a new focus for our strategic priorities. These are based on a member-wide reassessment of our purpose, vision, and three-year objectives, which can all be found on the NLCRC website.

As the regulatory landscape continues to evolve, most notably with Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) laws and how this impacts Producers, the NLCRC will monitor and adjust as the EPR policymaking process continues in the four states and highlight any key potential responses regarding anticipated new legislation, including EPR, Post Consumer Recycled content (PCR) or other bills that could impact the petroleum and related packaging industry.

Additionally, the NLCRC and its members will work to identify a sustainable packaging strategy that helps identify, prioritize, and execute projects that support sustainable packaging and other circular solutions within the petroleum packaging and related industry. We invite you to follow us this year and learn how the NLCRC is contributing to building a sustainable future for the recycling of plastic lubricant containers in close collaboration with the NLCRC members.
